Longarm Rental

We are proud to be Des Moines’ only Handi Quilter dealer! We currently have 2 longarms available to rent. In order to rent our machine, renters must first complete our Longarm Certification Class for $150.

Please call the shop to sign up & schedule your class. Payment will be required to hold your spot.We currently teach certification classes Tuesday - Friday during regular business hours with occasional weekends and evenings available upon request. There is NO online sign up for this class. You MUST call the shop at 515-255-1010 to schedule. 

Certification: Handi Quilter on the frame with computerization $150 - 4hrs
During this course, our Iowa Quilt Block Longarm Staff will lead you through many basics of longarm quilting with plenty of hints and tips along the way!  We will teach you the process of learning to load a quilt on our Handi Quilter longarm quilting machine and how to do computerized edge to edge quilting. You will practice using our Handi Quilter Longarm machine on a fabric panel that we will later donate.By the end of class, our goal is that you will have a basic understanding of how the machine works and have gained some comfort in beginning to longarm quilt!
